Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) has commenced mass production of its 100 V integrated gallium nitride (GaN) power-stage IC family, which includes the EPC23108, EPC23109, EPC23110, and EPC23111 models. These ePower™ Stage ICs are engineered for high-performance motion-control applications by integrating high-side and low-side eGaN® FETs, gate drivers, and level-shifting circuitry into compact and thermally enhanced QFN packages. This integrated design aims to enhance power density and efficiency while simplifying the overall system architecture.
Operating up to 100 V with current ratings of either 35 A or 20 A depending on the model, the devices offer fast fault shutdown, safe gate control during power-loss situations, and continuous 100% duty-cycle operation. For multi-axis motor-control applications, single-input PWM options are available. EPC is expanding its product offerings with the EPC91128, EPC91129, EPC91130, and EPC91131 three-phase BLDC motor-drive evaluation boards, which are built around these new power-stage ICs. These boards include essential features such as gate drivers, current and voltage sensing, housekeeping power supplies, and temperature monitoring and protection functions.
The new devices and evaluation boards are accessible through EPC’s global distribution network, including suppliers like Digi-Key and Mouser. Target applications for these devices span a range of industries, including humanoid robots, drones, industrial motor drives, medical equipment, synchronous rectification, and high-density DC-DC converters. Pricing for the EPC23108 and EPC23109 models is set at US$3.70 each, whereas the EPC23110 and EPC23111 are priced at US$2.47 each, based on orders of 3,000 units. The evaluation boards, EPC91128 and EPC91129, are priced at US$640 each, with the EPC91130 and EPC91131 available at US$630 each.

This document covers the architecture, design considerations, and evaluation platforms for the newly launched integrated GaN power-stage ICs, providing detailed insights into their capabilities and applications.
